Description
A lithograph is a type of print. The image is drawn directly on the stone block using an oil crayon or ink. Then a mild acid is applied. To make the print the stone is dampened with water and an oil-based ink is applied. Because water repels oil, the ink sticks to the drawing, but not to the dampened areas of stone.
